Skilled Nursing Care
A provided nursing service covered by private insurance, or Medicare Part A. Medicare Part A requires a 3-night acute care hospital stay within the 30 days prior to a Skilled Admission. Some insurance providers do not require this 3-night stay.
Pre-requisites that Qualify a person for Skilled Nursing are as follows:
Requires progress toward therapy goals or continued need for other Skilled Nursing Care
3 overnights in an acute care hospital within 30 days of admission to a Skilled Nursing Center
Physician order for Skilled Nursing Services
